Cast Notes

This serves pretty much the same purpose as the production notes, except that it's for all Glam! members!

This topic is an ongoing one, and is only for Glam! related conversations. It's especially good if you want to give reminders to other forum members, or suggest something you want other member feedback on. This is not the place for drama or arguing, please be respectful.

Remember that if you have any suggestions or concerns that are better kept private, you can ALWAYS PM Phoenigette, Dragyn, and Marleaux. We love hearing your suggestions!

Complaint Forum
I personally think Glam! should have one, not just some general, PM a mod if you have a problem, but an actual complaint forum for problems, and then have them do something about the complaints, i've noticed several times that the admins can get away with being rude to the point where a normal member would get a warning, or even banned.

or if we have one (i've never seen/heard of it?) it should be easier to find.

We definitely understand where you're coming from. And if we (the members or Admin) can find a similar solution that wouldn't include openly complaining about a person, we'd be willing to hear your complaints most definitely. That's sort of what Cast Notes is for. Complaints are the people's voice, too, and Cast Notes is for the members' voice. But we don't want members to openly talk bad about people on Glam!! and a forum to complain about people (even Admins) seems to go against that. You are always free to post a complaint here. We definitely realize things that are wrong when people complain.

Though, if you have a complaint about someone, don't single them out publically. So if you have a complaint about someone it should still be PM'd to an Admin, it doesn't matter if it's a member, staff, or Admin. We really do want to know what you have to say

Well, i didn't specifically mean a part of the actual forum, but something to be filled out and sent to someone who can deal with the members fighting, preferably a non admin since what I am talking about deals mainly with admins, but someone who can talk to the admins and smack the over the back of the head and tell them to knock it off, without fear of being banned/getting in trouble with the admins

i'll try, i suck at explaining XD;;

put a forum, and I mean like, fill out name, problem and ect, not area to post reports in, and have people who have a complaint send it into a mediator/person who can go inbetween and let the complaint be known to the admin/person who the complaint was made against, and have them smooth out the problems, and report it if it is severe enough of a problem

I get what you're saying, Rhapsody. Like...a negotiator. A non-biased middle party without distinct personal involvement in the argument etc who can be depended upon to say "no yeah, you're a douche apologize" or "yes she's right" or "that's wrong" or...etc etc. Basically someone who won't overreact and will be honest without having to worry about repercussions.

Unfortunately, most people on here are friends and as such are not prime material for this sort of thing. Honestly, what we should do is put the topic up for discussion amongst all the staff. That's what we're for, particularly the gaffers.

Not to sound egotistical or anything, but I'm fairly confident in my ability to be fair. Not that I believe myself to be unbiased, but I would be more than happy to volunteer my services as someone without fear of being rebuked on your behalf. If you should have a problem, and this goes to anyone out there, be it with staff, regular joe or freaking god, feel free to pm me and I'll be more than happy to tell everyone off. I may be staff, but I'm just the person they poke with a stick and command to draw when it so suits them to do so. I consider all of you to be my friends on some level, but I'm well-known for being brutally honest.

...Aaand I'm rambling.

Basically, I agree with Rhapsody but there's not a lot of people capable of being that person. As evidenced actually by some of our recent calamity, quite a few people got very up-and-up and basically no one kept an exceptionally clear head as far as I could tell. Thanks to the turmoil of my everyday life, I am more capable than most when it comes to stepping back and taking a look at the big picture. That's not to say I'm not a volatile, spontaneous, idiotic person; I have overreacted many times. But I've told most of the staff at least once something they didn't want to hear. I've told Marly what a bitch she in many times in fact. I may love most of my fellow staffers dearly, but I would be happy to step between an argument and help sort things out. I regret that I haven't been given the opportunity to do so several times so it seems only right that I should offer to do so now.

AND I'M RAMBLING AGAIN. Dammit. Okay, so sorry if this sounded just totally moronic. I'm just..an idiot I guess but I do want to help! I mean I'm not the most reliable person, but...uh...shit. I'm gonna shut up now.

If the admin(s) behave badly, you can always just leave the forum. You do not owe anything to any forum you are on. You can just leave. Most certainly no forum(admin) needs to be held accountable for their behaviour in any other way than loosing forum members. Unless they really do something illegal. In which case you go to the police.

Daenerys- This is the only forum, besides deviantart, that I have been on that has stayed up for more then a year, and after a fight with an admin i had a while back, I did leave, only reason I came back was because that admin didn't seem to come on anymore, and because I wanted c/c on my work

So TG and PE never occured to you? You get awesome cc on TG, too, you know. This is not the only forum that stayed up longer than a year. TG is several years old. And more mature. In members and attitude.

Not saying I don't love Glam!! I do! But there really are alternatives out there that a doller could be perfectly happy with And rightly so: we're a diverse bunch, us dollers.

But she has a point, there are other forums out there, and no forum is perfect. We are a diverse lot! That's why there's so many different forums

RG: honestly.... it sounds like you want another admin XD. That's what our job is, to deal with problems that come up on the board. There are three of us, so if there's a problem with one of us you can go to a different admin if you don't feel comfortable confronting the admin in question head on. We help give each other perspective, and we really don't hesitate in telling each other when we've screwed up. Even if it seems like only one of us is handling the issue, usually two or more are discussing it. I think that another person would be just as likely to make the same mistakes :/
