Another MDI Thread? Peru this time!

Old Wips:

Figured I'd start a topic and get some feedback! So far I only have VERY rough concept sketches. For the full body, I chose to mimic the shape of the pink dress- but in traditional fabrics and a pattern kinda like the traditional dress at the top. For the portrait- I wanted to go more modern so I picked a chevron shirt that I LOVE lol. I'm just worried the two don't "Go" together as much. On the actual doll, the chevron will be Red/White with yellow or blue jewelry. and the full body will be red with yellow and blue accents.

Update! Lineart finished, dress shading started. Pattern will be added on the portrait after I shade it :)
Update2:Image
More is shaded and pattern is added! It gets wonky near the bottom so I'll have to fix it. Also softened the shading on the portraits face.

Any thoughts? :)

Some initial thoughts: Remember that shirts have seams at the shoulders, and often around the sleeves/armpits, and with a patterned shirt, the pattern won't line up. That's really all I've got this early in your process - I'm a details kind of gal.

the face shading on the portrait seems very dramatic with the contrast. everything else looks lovely.

The nose appears to be really thin in the bridge on the portrait whereas the bridge of the nose is wider on the full body doll.

Also the portrait needs some more shadows - other than the disconnect in the pattern, it's really hard to tell her torso from her arms.
