This month is zooming along

I've sort of lost motivation now so I guess it's done unless anyone points anything out that makes me want to drop everything and change it.
The glowy bits on the clothes/hair/skin were done by adjusting layer opacity so it isn't strictly pixel shaded. I did really want to do full-on lightsourcing.

I didn't really want to work on a base so large but it was the only one I could find that had the head at the angle I wanted. Now it seems like a good choice.
I'm thinking for the puffy sleeves to have a Disney SnowWhite look.
I did also want the hair to stay black but the change in the top doesn't make it suitable anymore. Maybe a dark blue or a silvery white?

Redoll base: Monica (her site's currently down and the base isn't in her DA gallery)

Cool outfit! ^^ Yes silvery white would be very classy with a violet touch here and there! :D

Yeah, the lighter hair does work better than the darker. Although, maybe the darker would look good once I do the lightsourcing...it depends on how I end up doing that...

And yeah, I can't just leave the skirt plain - but I usually leave that sort of thing until after the shading phase. My plan is either simple pattern, classic Helyn dots, gradient or a mixture of them. Whatever works best at the time :)

Well, real life kind of went a bit shit there so she is progressing slowly even for me. Thank goodness we have such a long time to finish these.

If the skirt wasn't so dark purple, I'd suggest leaving it as is and putting a black lace on top of it. But perhaps it would be hard to see the lace if the background color is dark?

Just a suggestion. I think it would suit the gothic lolita theme.

Excellent hair, by the way.
