Most of it was just kind of instinctive, knowing where to darken the shadows and all that, but I (partially) used this tutorial to make his eyes.

It's haunting. It's realistic and at the same time like from a nightmare (in a good way, of course). A well captured emotion, I'd say.
Technique wise - I really like the clothes and background, the folds are very nice. Still, I think there is a problem with the relation of crispiness and softness going on in the face. The eyes and brows are a bit too sharp to me.

Still, a great piece :).

I love how striking it is! You can get a feeling of shock, horror, amazement - all sorts of emotions just from the eyes alone. You did an incredible job.
