I understand why you feel the need to do it, I just question the methods.Dragyn wrote:@ Cat - Well I'm not sure how to explain it to you. No. I'm pretty sure Radiuhoh has a pretty easy list to work off. No one said it was a matter of skill. It was more a matter of experience. 'This person asked for all historical, but this person hasn't ever done a historical doll in their life. If they get frustrated they might give up and not finish'. It doesn't matter if the person pardon me, 'sucks', if I saw they've attempted a historical doll in the past, I know they can handle the list. There were very few 'changes' made to the randomness. But I had to check it anyway. Now, that you hopefully understand it, do you see a problem with the way I've done the sorting?
Just because someone is not familiar with historical dress does not mean that they will not be able to make a doll of it. For instance I got my person and my first thought was to make them a steampunk doll that correlated to one of their requests (cuz I know they like steampunk and fantasy stuff), I don't know much about steampunk but a 5 min search on google can fix that.
For the most part people know going in that there is a chance that they will not get a person or topics that they like, that is the risk that they take, and hopefully those people who are dedicated will make a doll no matter what. I don't think that it is fair to assume that one person will become frustrated with a topic, especially since I doubt that you asked them, opposed to another. If you look back at other exchanges, and especially pageants, just because someone has more experince does not make them more likely to finish a doll (even if it is more challenging).
